 Welcome to your Japanese learning adventure! This app is designed to make language learning fun, visual, and memorable. Here’s how each section of the app works and how you can get the most out of your study time.

Welcome to your vocabulary adventure!

The Discover Map is your journey to uncover new Japanese words. Travel through the four seasons, each with increasing difficulty:

• 🌸 Spring (春) – Beginner

• 🌞 Summer (夏) – Easy

• 🍁 Autumn (秋) – Medium

• ❄️ Winter (冬) – Difficult

🔍 How it works:

• Tap a green button to start a new level.

• Each level has 3 short exercises (like 1.1, 1.2, 1.3), each with 15 questions to help you practice vocabulary.

• Complete all 3 exercises and the button turns yellow — that means you’ve completed the level and unlocked the next one!

• All discovered words are saved in your Review Page, so you can practice anytime.

• Grey buttons are locked — complete the previous level to move forward.

• You can scroll across the map to preview what’s coming next!

🎴 Kana Page

Start with the basics — learn Kana!

Kana is the foundation of Japanese writing, made up of two alphabets:

• Hiragana (ひらがな) – for native Japanese words

• Katakana (カタカナ) – for foreign words and names

✨ How to use this page:

• Tap a kana to hear its pronunciation.

• Long press a kana to select it for learning.

• Select multiple kana to study together, then tap Learn to begin!

📊 Track your progress:

• 🔴 Red = Not learned yet

• 🟠 Orange = In progress

• 🟢 Green = Mastered

• A mastery percentage tracker is shown at the top-right of the page.

Here’s where all the words you’ve discovered are stored for long-term learning, using spaced repetition — one of the most effective memory techniques.

🧠 Memory levels:

• 🔴 Level 1 – Just discovered

• 🟠 Level 2 – Currently learning

• 🔵 Level 3 – Starting to stick

• 🟢 Level 4 – Almost there

• 🌿 Level 5 – Mastered!
